Abstract

This article corresponds to a view about the dimension of our existence linked to making, and how creative disciplines related to production, shape and builds the formal and material imaginary of our time. This requires asking ourselves again about how our objects construct the cultural story of our times and how related disciplines, find the language for the construction of an ethic in the virtue of a common goal. This article aims to reflect on certain elements that draw the lines of doing for different disciplines and seeks to raise certain bases for questions of value about production, when the goal is on functionality and the spiritual dimension of the objects that surround us. It is an approach on the ethical question that arises in the linking of design with craftsmanship and in the way that design can mediate in the social language for an appreciation of the artisanal product beyond the mercantile, but in virtues such as beauty, nobility and art of an object.
